


Candidate Photographs requirements
The passport photographs must meet the following requirements
1 - Identical
2 - No more than 6 mouths old
3 - Been taken against a plain background so features are clearly distinguishable
4 - Undamaged
5 - Sharp in focus and clear
6 - Have a print quality of professional standard
7 - Have a close up of the head and shoulders
8 - Show the candidate in a neutral expression
9 - Show the candidate with mouth closed
10 - Show eyes open and clearly visible
11 - Not show any shadows
12 - Not show any reflections or glare from glasses
13 - Not show anything covering face, outline of the eyes, nose or mouth
14 - Be to the required dimensions ? see diagram below

The photographs below are examples of acceptable and unacceptable passport photographs.

The rules on photographs have changed ? glasses must not be worn in passport photographs.
These ?red crossed? photographs are now UNACCEPTABLE. The same photos WITHOUT glasses would be acceptable.
